I think I just took longer to mature. At 28 I was still working on my temper and impulse control.
I have a family that lives an adventurous life with me. They don’t hold me back. Kids are so malleable. They don’t hold you back unless that’s the life you create (obvious exceptions for special needs kids may apply).
And “recklessness” is part of my youth I was happy to leave behind.
~ 35 is definitely golden era … at least for men. Old enough to be in control of your body and emotions, but still young enough to have spontaneous energy.

My problem is that the file I download is not in the right format, doesn’t have any metadata embedded, doesn’t have subs embedded, and doesn’t match my file naming convention. In fact the way media is packaged, I don’t know how anyone that cares about these things is able to seed.

No worries. NAS is “network attached storage”. It’s just a small computer that with a handful of hard drives that are exposed to your network.
In the current context, it’s a suggestion to host your own media and access it via Plex or Jellyfin.
But it can do far more than that. It’s a great place to backup photos and your other computers. Synology also comes with a lot of pretty great software out of the box, including a full replacement for Google’s “office” suite.

I bought my niece a new MacBook Air. Her exceptionally poor, rural, Bible belt upbringing hasn’t stopped her from excelling academically. She needs a new computer and her family was going to buy her a $200 chromebook. But she’s off to college in a year and I knew that wouldn’t cut it. Here’s hoping it gets her to graduation.
