If you listen to her speak candidly about Trump (the NYT interview is a great example) you can tell she legitimately fears for her life after what happened to her husband. As a result, she actually believes that the only way to save the country is to move right. She’s wrong of course and the data bears that out but there’s a large contingent of the Democratic base that agrees and she doesn’t have to look far for a permission structure.

Based on the most active servers in that list, I would guess that either something is up with those numbers or the biggest instance actually is a let’s play fan website, and a significant amount of the growth is coming from similar projects.

The problem as I see it is rather that the modern Democratic base have largely failed to integrate feminist and worker-oriented messaging targeting men into their campaigning. Maybe more importantly, they have failed to integrate it into their day-to-day conception of liberation.

And they are just as fragile.

Because the democrats haven’t made a serious appeal to them in a decade. We need to turn bell hooks into actionable political messaging.
