That’s the “Quadruple A” studio right? The one that was supposed to have “unlimited budget” so it could create “groundbreaking video game experiences”?

And they ended up not releasing anything before they’re shut down. A+ management there, Microsoft.

Yeah it’s so sad seeing studio after studio being closed down. So many commenters thought Microsoft will revive old IPs after buying studio after studio.

Now it seems like those IPs will just rot at Microsoft in their intellectual property graveyard.

The IPs are the really sad part here. There was some good stuff in there, but alas…

I can think of one, the one where they announced they were so proud of that new studio they had just created.

But they just closed that very studio and it couldn’t deliver even one game in between, so… Yeah.

Probably only if the word “AI” is in the title…

That was the ONE trailer from this Xbox announcement that I was actually looking forward to. It looked in a fairly playable state, too. I feel like a very broken record, but this is yet another reason why it feels like Microsoft is pulling out of gaming.

Classic case of how unrestricted money and a hotch potch of talent doesn’t make a studio. It needs to have strong leadership, vision and some constraints.

Microsoft will never learn that throwing money at the problem isn’t ever the solution.
