Cooked at 131° for 4 hours, and then seared on a screaming hot cast iron!
Pretty sure that’s either a Brownie or a small Confederate hat made from varmint
It has a shape like that giant tadpole that never became a frog, but cooked. 🤣
Cuttlefish, 100%.
Mmmmmm varmit
But what about the inside?
Ask and ye shall receive!
Nice looks good. I never got into this method of cooking because slow cooking food in a plastic bag just never sat right with me, even at low temperatures. There’s just no way in hell that that shit ain’t leeching into the food haha. Otherwise looks like a great way to cook meat.
You can always get re-usable silicone bags, but they’re not as effective imo because it’s harder to get all the air out for a good vacuum seal.
The microplastics are in everything anyways at this point, I doubt a few steaks cooked like this are hurting anyone 😅
I hear ya but at this point all we can do is harm reduction lol.
Nice indeed.
The important question.
Got me salivating while I’m waiting for my chili to cook lol
