What can I do about Steam’s restrictions on regions? Can’t pay for anything anymore because my card keeps being declined by Steam, and I don’t want to change the region (US) to the local one because I currently live in a very restrictive country, can’t buy any gift cards on G2A either, this never was a problem for me up until now all of the sudden, don’t know why, what do I do?

Have you contacted your bank? If your card used to work and the fact that it doesnt work on G2A neither, the problem’s highly likely caused by your bank.
That’s what I was thinking, I tried to contact my bank and am still waiting for a response, might have to go in person though, my bank is a pain in the ass to deal with tbh, but otherwise the card works for everything except for Steam and G2A for some reason, no idea why.
The transactions on steam almost go through, asks me for the SMS code, then suddenly gets rejected, and now it’s not even doing the verification pop up thingy anymore, it just immediately rejects the card if I try with it, did it get blocked by steam or something?
The error just vaguely says “your card has been declined by your credit card company” everytime and when I contacted steam support they vaguely said it might take 30 days for the bank to verify the transaction or something? Even though I don’t see anything on hold on my card, Idk that’s all I have to work with here, everything seems fine on my end otherwise.
If steam doesn’t want to facilitate you why go through hurdles? Sail the high seas.
