If the stake is bigger than you are, is it wearing YOU? Can inanimate objects wear things? Does a mannequin wear clothes? Hmm. I think somebody spiked my raisin bran.

They are not wearing the rope or pole any more than they are wearing the platform they are standing on.

I’d argue they are holding the pole, but point taken. The platform is still flamable. Did you want to use that inspiration token?

I would be holding onto the pole, especially if it meant I could cast firebolt and not have it catch fire.

I like the suggestion that the witch hadn’t cast a spell before this point because they thought it was a social faux-pas. Confrontation anxiety strikes again.

      ål he røsöxni

      Ål, he rösoxarna

Eel, [generic movement verb, approx. “put”] [the] cairn-oxen

basically, she’s asking a guy named Eel to move the cows that are stood on the pile of stones, in a bad accent. considering the use of the word “he” it’s gotta be in the north of sweden, and going by the letters, the village is bordering norway. for proper form it should probably be “he bort” but she’s obviously in a hurry.

then again substituting o for ö is something i associate with värmland. maybe she’s not originally from there.
