    Pretty dumb take. There are plenty of women truckers. I see them every day. You know what all these drivers complain about to me? Shitty pay. That’s why there’s a shortage

      There is no labor shortage, there’s only livable wage shortage.

    Ex-trucker here all you gotta do is Pay us more Respect us Idk make the job suck less? Pay us more

    Look I make as much sitting at a desk doing nothing all day than I did hauling flatbed. Hilariously when I need to drive somewhere for work I get paid more per mile (.65¢ vs .45¢) than I did driving a truck.

    Spoiler: the answer is not to offer more money to drivers or reduce consumption. It’s to dilute the workforce by easing off discrimination a bit.
