That’s everywhere on earth, people carry on about demographic replacement but we should be encouraging smaller populations. Human beings are just so egocentric that the thought of not reproducing is too crazy to entertain.
Not particularly. People who see that their kids are likely to live to adulthood and that they don’t need a large family to live well tend to have only 1-2 kids. You see that in Japan, the US and western Europe

It’s not “we.” I don’t control food chain issues, I don’t control pollution and production regulations or war, I don’t get huge dividends from investments whenever a company decides to do the economic thing instead of the ecologically responsible thing. They do it to US. Don’t forget that.
