American culture is a lot more imperialist than French culture. France is not an imperialist power now, unlike the US. In fact, out of the allies of the US, it has been the one that has shown the most opposition to US military interventions in the middle east. Why not hate on America? Russia is more overt and aggressive. Historically, the US has a thousand sins that are more subtle.
