There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being short. Lying about your height and wearing ridiculously high lifts, while continuing to lie about it in the face of evidence however is a pretty powerful statement of character on his part. And not a flattering one

Seriously. If I was in this position I’d just be like “yep. I wear heels because it shapes the body better for suits and adds some height to me. I’m rather short. You should try it.”

Boom done. Now I don’t have to lie for years on end in the face of video fucking evidence.

Or just don’t wear heels, and when some opponent or interviewer makes some comment about your height, just dig into them like “really? We’re discussing the future of our country and you’re focused on my height? I’m here to focus on the real issues, not petty shit”. Boom, you’d come across way more confident and manly than any amount of height could give you.

Ofc, his base is exactly the sort who is petty enough to care about height, so maybe that approach would only work for a dem candidate lol

Unfortunately, this is a country where a not insignificant number of people vote based on whether they’d want to have a beer with the candidate.

The reality is, being short probably would (does) lose him votes, because people in this country (particularly conservatives that have a very strict, old school view of what a “man” should be) are fucking stupid.

Remember Dennis Kucinich? His height didn’t do him any favors.

And like sure, historically since televised debates height determines who is president but Meatball Ron is fighting for dear life to be a bit taller, not even the tallest choice.

It’s not so much a statement of character. I’d get a more valuable statement of character by just looking at his basic political platform. If, say, bernie just had some weird tick where he was super insecure about his height, I would still probably like him about the same.

The only thing this really is, is funny as shit.
