    The possessive of “it” is just “its”

    “It’s” is short for “it is” like “you’re” for “you are”

    I’m not trying to be rude—just want to be helpful. I used to incorrectly use it’s the same way.

        Its is a possessive pronoun. His, hers, theirs, and its, not hi’s, her’s, their’s, and it’s.
