A small percentage of the time mechanics didn’t tighten bolts, back on correctly, after removing a wheel to inspect brake pads. The vast majority of accidents are caused by speeding, not because a wheel brakes free and the car swerved.

Hmmm never heard this one. I am pretty sure my state doesn’t require inspection of the actual pads.
