I’m from the country that is all the way achieved what US is on the path to. The advice that I would give myself from the past: run the fuck away, you can’t fix it, when your country slips to authoritarianism and half of it actively appload it, you can either run away and live, or stay and suffer for nothing. Whatever patriotic bullshit was shat into your head is abusive absurd, you don’t owe your life to whatever land you were born on.
If you have skills to work, look for a job abroad, if you don’t - learn, learn languages, and run the fuck away.
