Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, on Monday said he would back challengers to members of Congress who vote for President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill."
The difference is that Musk doesn’t depend on Trump to remain relevant (or solvent). All those others absolutely do: They were nothing before Trump, and nothing without him.
Musk definitely depends on government contracts for his companies. If Trump cancels those all his companies will take a big hit which in turn will take a big chunk off his net worth which is propped by shares in those companies. If his net worth substantially goes down he may run into issues getting credit which will affect him directly. Elon Musk uses his stock to take loans to fund his personal expenses among other things.

He could always try living within his means, you know, like rich republicans always say poor people should do.
