As time goes on, something I notice more on Hexbear is that a lot of them expect help from global entities like China or other nations for the issues at home. I suppose part of the rant comes from you saying it’s “not their responsibility” which I hundred percent agree.
China has no interest in America (should specify internal politics. The most they care about is trade policy). Fixing America isn’t their problem. They’d rather see America tear itself apart and that’s a good thing. China has no interest in stepping in and stopping a conflict where America will inevitably tire and impale itself or giving America an excuse to pull it’s “Lenin’s rope-making industry” out of China. Same with Russia, all though they have brainworms of their own
Some of the shit I see on the news mega where they go “The problem with current Chinese geopolitics…” like a bunch of Westerners know fucking anything or that China gives a fuck. “They’re trading with Israel!!” yeah, no shit. Soviets traded with Americans even at the height of the cold war. Something they still haven’t noticed is that trade and economy is China’s strongest weapon and that they are literally funding, arming and organizing resistance behind the scenes while making Israel dependent on their exports.
They ignore the infrastructure and development they plant globally as a direct counter to the IMF which is honest to god more important than any westerner movement groping around in the dark in the U.S or Europe as all they have done is directly arm, fund and outfit Israel for genocide while criticizing China for it’s trade.

I completely agree with you. Another thing is the perpetual doomsaying on the news mega every time something let’s say “interesting” happens also gets quickly tiresome. There are a lot of good posters there but also some that just keep repeating the same thing over and over, whether it’s hyper-criticism of China or projecting their own insecurities and/or wishful thinking onto the global south. The western left needs to get its own shit together before criticising others.
