For Iranian leaders, saying death to Israel makes sense, since their main audience is their population and they need an enemy. For Israel, it’s rational to stay quiet, since they want to associate with Western democracies.
Israel has never announced any intention to destroy Iran and expel the people.
They didn’t announce much about Gaza in advance (or their expansion on the West Bank). And look what happened.
