    That’s very impressive, I suppose Steam Deck is a major reason for this, not only because Steam OS is native on it, but also because many games are now tested to work on it either natively or through Proton before launch.
    This has the side effect that using the Steam client on independent Linux systems also generally work better.

    I admit I’m boycotting everything American because of the current administration, the only exception I have is my Steam client.
    Because with Linux there is simply no real alternative. Except maybe if you can get it on GOG and get it to work manually.

      With a Steam active monthly user count over 100mil that means millions of gamers using Linux at any given time

      Its an increase in the share of steam users. The steamuser base has also been growing in that time, so the absolute number may have increased more.
