Yup. These people are bi and/or pan, but choose to have straight relationships. They think that because it’s a choice for them, that it’s a choice for everyone else too. Doesn’t work that way.
This is really clarifying, thanks. It makes so much more sense now. The irrational assertion that is a choice is real for them. They don’t understand that other people aren’t bi. They think homosexual people have chosen the minority route out of some sort of stubbornness and that of they just up the social legal penalties it’ll reduce the number of people publicly living the life that they secretly crave to explore but can’t bear to admit to.
