Having a military parade for a leaders birthday is not normal. Wtf USA. Protest harder please, actually get reform this time.

We are relying on you, since the USA is a superpower with many countries under your thumb, this affects more than just you

200k expected. 20k attended. Over 50k protested in DC beforehand. 11M protested nationwide.

    Happy Birthday, Dickhead.

I attended a No Kings rally in a small suburb that nobody here has probably ever heard of. We easily beat Trump’s numbers. LOL

20k attended? Damn, they could have just given everybody $2000 and skipped the $40m parade. I’m sure people would have enjoyed it more.

I only glimpsed it on the news channels on the TVs at the gym yesterday. It’s interesting that it was originally hyped as a birthday parade for him, but all the clips on the news were labeling it as a parade to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the army. I guess the birthday parade shit didn’t poll well with anybody.

Also pretty hilarious that nobody really celebrates the 250th anniversary of anything.

The thing with the 3.5% that most people keep missing, is that it needs to be 3.5% of the population consistently engaged in protest, not just in a one off event.

Where were the DC protests? That sounds like a large number and I know the No Kings protest organizers excluded DC from their planning because they wanted to draw focus away from there. If it was 500k in DC that would have been fairly substantial because that would be larger than the 2017 DC women’s march, which was the largest protest since the Vietnam war and was so large it encompassed most of the national mall. You couldn’t actually march anywhere because people were shoulder to shoulder.

It was 50k, not 500k. I mistyped and corrected it. The protests in DC were staggered from the morning hours and ended by 4PM in accordance with permits.

I don’t think Donald Trump is a boss. I think he’s owned. Like a puppet of organized crime. I kind of wish people would understand how real this world really is and see beyond the talking head puppetry. Getting trump out of the presidency is only like cutting off the finger of the real perpetrators. They are still alive without him.

It’s sad… These protestors, and activists… It’s naive in most cases. They aren’t playing “the game”, they are playing the part that the people playing “the game” want them to play.

The war isn’t about to start… We have been in war. But no one fighting back is playing “the game”. We are indoctrinated mostly to not play the “the game”. So everything people do to fight is exactly what the “game” players taught them to do to remain submissive.

“The game” is the same thing from the streets, like the way gangs and drug dealer work etc… hustling, mob life… to mainstream business, and politics… There is nothing different. But they indoctrinate the common American to not participate.

In some ways some people “fight” to remain submissive and escape from a reality they are afraid of or actually never even saw.

We have been raped as humanity. We have been on the losing side of a long psychological war. We pay the enemy to castrate our humanity. We made this from our naiveness. From our fear of reality that was marketed to us to buy into their power structure instead of understanding raw reality and learning how to ride that wave, how to tame that dragon, we chose the false security that made a slave master.

We paid for this and we promoted this… The same people fighting it now, created it. The divided sides are purposely made. The divided sides are one in the same. The divided sides need to unite, because they have a common enemy.

“And yes, I built this house, I made it wrong / I watched it crumble, now I’m moving on”

What are you on about? It didn’t use to be this way and history takes many turns. This is a fight and we don’t need defeatist attitudes like yours because it’s “a game”. That’s how you dig your head in the sand and throw away the towel because you’re too comfortable to get up. Fuck that noise, the people rise.

There a glimmers of hope. I think the number of people who see how Democrats contributed to where we are now are starting to outnumber those that don’t. It’s starting to look like we might have an honest to God progressive as mayor of New York, and the establishment has got to hate that.

It’s still a real fight in front of us, but we are seeing the cracks start to form. What we really need now is a presidential candidate. Pritzker is the best I’ve seen so far, but I’d really like to do better.

Y’all need an honest to God revolution. At the very least Trump and his ilk need to be deposed and tried for treason, proportional representation implemented and all powers granted to law enforcement after 9/11 revoked. Don’t count on the day after government to do these things.

We need the get there yes, but not all on “the day after”. This is also the reason I suggested Pritzker as the best so far. He doesn’t seem to be shying away from the needed rhetoric. My biggest concerns are that he is just being opportunistic, and that he is a billionaire. Then again, FDR was super wealthy too, and whomever it is needs to be at least a little psychotic - which at least suggests a billionaire.

Look at Rudy Giuliani, look at Elon… They used them and leave their life fucked. Look at these kids the used for DOGE or whatever… That’s the game. That’s the real game of America. It’s the same way street gangs and Mafia life works. Using kids like the cartels and gangs basically enticing and trafficking kids into the game. They have those kids in it now. Its going to be hard for them to get out of if they don’t want to end up like Elon or Giuliani. Basically Elon and Giuliani are examples of what happens when you don’t do what they ask. Like the mob using you they will manipulate and use you. Build your ego and then rape you. America is completely corrupted and I wonder how long it was actually authentic.

US politics is just reality TV at this point and that’s why Donny is president: because the only thing he was ever really successful at in life was being a reality TV character.

It is pretty easy to put on an impressive parade when you have a military of 2 million people and aren’t a global power vs the US with 1.3m and have bases all over the globe. Even Russia was able to put on a bigger parade while they were fighting Ukraine and had lost tens of thousands of soldiers.

The parade was pretty paltry, but the fireworks display was very ostentatious. Breaking out the vintage stuff was cool, but lame that they didn’t at least put some mock .50s on the half track.

I think the difference there is you’d probably notice a ton of troops like, literally gathering for war. You’d have enough time to mobilize and house them. Parades are not important enough to pull that many troops away, and it’d be way more than this one cost.

Now, a civil war… nah, I feel like by the time anyone organized you’d have plenty of troops ready to squash it.

About the vintage stuff - they got that from Hollywood costume and props rental houses, and only started organising that last-minute, so they got rinsed on the price.
