Had a wierd dream last night after seeing this…

All I remember is vividly describing this meme to some family after making a similarly stupid decision

Friendly reminder, you can continue to personally enjoy any potter shit you’ve already got—no one cares about that really.

Never give the franchise another penny

Never share anything related to it.

The fandom has to die, it all benefits a transphobe who uses her wealth and influence to harm trans people—which needless to say: is reprehensible

I have faith that a fan fiction about a post-transition Harriet Potter will make it big, someday, maybe even be more popular than the original.

I’ll do whatever I can to support it, just to annoy folks who deserve to be annoyed, for being brittle and hurtful about such things.

i think the americans are trying to make a new series? idk i saw some posts how all actors are hot now and how Snape is played by a black actor. which- why the fuck would you pick the most sketch of the main cast characters to be a POC, literally pick anyone else, hell make Harry black, or Hermione. why is the only bad character (up until the last idk 30min of the series runtime) black. this is not a diversity win, americans

I think it’s a weird fight between the extreme side of “even liking the franchise makes you a transphobe” and the reasonable correct side of “just as long as she doesn’t get your money it’s not a big deal”

I think there’s a difference, though, between liking it in private, and talking it up publicly.

If someone still listened to their Lostprophets albums I’m not going to judge, but if they spent a lot of time posting about how much they loved and still love Lostprophets… that still feels a bit off.

She’s executive producer on the show, and even if she wasn’t, she gets royalties on her ip in whatever fashion it is used. She is going to make a boatload off the show. And she donates her earnings into anti-trans organizations.
