There are still a lot of major commercial and political and media presences there, which is going to mean a lot of people who report on and follow those entities have to maintain their accounts, and all the people who follow those people are still going to be there.

It’s still a huge platform, it’s still used by the majority of the world for all manner of applications. We easily get stuck in weird perspectives of the world and current events because a lot of algorithms push “satisfaction porn” on us, making it look like the current political administration is getting “DESTROYED” by this and that… it’s as false of a worldview as what they consume, it makes us all think that people like Musk are hurting and suffering as consequence of backlash.

If you browse around the fetid hangouts of the conservatives and Techbros who idolize these people, they’re in exactly the same black-hole where perspective cannot escape. “Why would anyone use Bluesky at this point? It’s failing every day!” they will proclaim while laughing at how unphased Musk is, and how much success they’ve been having.

Not making a both-sides argument, just a warning that the algorithm distorts your perspectives - it’s designed to make everyone feel validated and that can be incredibly damaging when you’re trying to affect change on the world.

I’m sure they also send alerts through twitter, bluesky, and fascist-book just to cover bases but the main system is not dependent on a social media platform. That would be stupid.

Kay that’s just the cost of doing business. Literally every company treats their employees like rungs on a ladder and would try to cover up sexual assault before addressing it. That’s just business. It’s still scummy, but that’s the sort of scum I’ve come to expect from this world. It’s the devil I know.

Elon is a neo-facist, and he’s using his companies to accomplish his goal of normalizing fascism. They’re not comparable. It actually legitimizes Elon when you compare him to them. They published one bad game after another that were commercial flops because of modern predatory videogame practices and them being out of touch with what players actually want. Also with AC Shadows they managed to piss off an entire nation by being disrespectful to their culture, so much that the issue was brought up in Parliament to the prime minister of Japan.

Hm… Here’s what I think. Because I’ve played Ubi games probably my whole life of gaming, I played AC1. Was okay and boring for me. Then I played odyssey and Valhalla. Loved em. Just long, have no desire to play shadow currently. But I am playing outlaws currently because it was $35. I don’t see any microtransactions. Story is pretty good, exploration is good, syndicate system is cool. Having a fun time with it. Good game.

Steep and riders Republic are both just chill out and do crazy shit fun. RR dlc kinda sucks though paying for skateboards and other sports but what ever. I like the snow larding and mountain biking the most.

Motorfest is a better forza horizon, it’s more fun. Idk I like both games, but to me motorfest is just better.

The division series is a much better looter shooter than destiny 2 by a million degrees, again, I play and enjoy both, but I just like 3rd person and the more realistic setting in the division.

R6 siege is a game everyone played and still plays a little bit. It’s a good game overall and has nothing new that other companies didn’t already do to make the genre stale.

Farcry games have had the same style and gameplay each game that comes out. But it seems like the community wants a realistic game instead of a balls to wall shooter that it’s always been. 6 has an underwhelming story compared to the earlier games. But the gunplay was far better.

Mario vs rabbids is just a fun strategy game.

Ghost recon reboots and open world are fun, just not realistic enough imo. But still a fun sneak around and pop heads kind of game.

We need a new splinter cell though 100000%

So from my perspective…I see people hating on Ubisoft because of microtransactions that were last seen in R6 however many years ago, people don’t like a black guy as a main character, or a woman as a main star wars character. I just think people hate on it just to hate it on it when the company makes decent games that are complete I might add. Same goes for EA.

I can’t recall theast game these devs had made that are “half finished and full of bugs” that Indy devs release lately.

Let’s not forget that EA just published split fiction too…so…yeah.

You guys are talking out of your ass and are looking for internet brownies being parrots with no actual hands on play time.

So, a game that required a day 1 patch and made you lose your save data if you played early access (paying extra money) is not released “half finished and full of bugs”, I understand.

            https://www.dexerto.com/gaming/star-wars-outlaws-save-progress-patch-issue-early-access-2880777/

You have also conveniently asked what have they done recently to get hatred, then proceeded to mention games from the times when the company was still in its prime. I also liked the Rayman games and the early Prince of Persia trilogy, but they are what, 20 years old?

people don’t like a black guy as a main character, or a woman as a main star wars character.

Ok, racism and misogyny are bad, but if they are being racist toward asians is fine I guess?

If you want to have a proper discussion about why Ubisoft is one step from being sold out, maybe you should first remove your rose-tinted glasses and admit there are glaring faults and that’s why their games are not selling well.

Im glad you asked. They have:

                • Misrepresented the role of the historical dude (and other historical characters), but we can ignore it since it’s just a fantasy game where you punch the Pope in the face. Even though their marketing guys insisted a lot on historical accuracy…
                • Used elements from Chinese architecture and south east Asia, because that’s all the same, right?
                • Copied flags from a Japanese historical reenactment society without permission.
                • Published promotional material with the design copied from One Piece.
                • Also, promotional material using the famous Torii Gate that survived the Nagasaki bomb (more insensitive that actually racist).
                • Included a real shrine with its real name (again, without asking permission) and made the environment destroyable (while other locations are indestructible?). This is what sparked national outrage that reached the parliament and forced a day 1 patch.

I’ll gliss over the rest of the historical inaccuracies because, again, it’s a fantasy game in the end.

If you don’t see any racism and general disrespect for the Japanese culture (which they have supposedly accurately researched), It’s like I said: rose-tinted glasses.

You’re right. It’s a fictional game with based off random shit. Do you know how wrong odyssey and origins are? But no, ONLY shadows matters because black guy. I guarentee you, you’re just a random snowflake dude who gets upset about shit that doesn’t effect you directly. Right?

woman and children to torture, rape and kill them

Most of the founding fathers were slave owners so that’s a yes to that as well

Did they parade naked woman through the street?

Americans called it a slave auction

Was their Slogan “death to america”?

Of course not. They were America so why would they say “death to us”? It was more like “death to England and the tyrant King George”.

Was the slogan of the founding fathers of America “death to america”? Super hard hitting question.

Also there was more than enough rape, murder, and genocide taking place on the part of the American revolutionaries, and it was being actively encouraged by the founding fathers.

This is like the seventh comment saying “but what about…” that I get.

Is that the bar that makes you defend atrocities against civilians?

You need a deep look into your self mate

I’m sorry but if you can’t even remotely see from where Hasan (or the other commenter) is coming from then you’re literally no better than what you blame him to be. Israel has been terrorizing Palestinians probably longer than you’ve been alive and America has been supporting Israel since the beginning. Are you really surprised when the Palestinians, who have been terrorized their entire life, radicalize into Hamas and start shouting “death to America”?

did you learn anything about early america? they absolutely did all that except the “death to america” part was really “death to britons”.

Some more of that whataboutism please. Pretty low strategy to defend terrorist, rapists and murderers.

You always stoop that low to defend evil?

Pointing out common hypocrisy relevant to a topic isn’t a whattaboutism, and claiming it is is a pretty transparent attempt to dismiss valid criticism you clearly lack a rebuttal to.

Chances are they heard someone else use the term “whataboutism” and are just mindlessly parroting it without understanding what it actually is.

I havent been a hypocrite, have I? Your defense of terrorists is by your definition though.

I wasn’t calling you a hypocrite, they were, I am not them, we are not the same person. I was just pointing out that ‘whattaboutism’ isn’t a harry-potter-esque spell that when shouted properly makes valid criticism disappear.

It’s not my cup of tea. Ive been following Hasan for a long time until it became too obvious he just wants to groom the viewers to terrorists.

I don’t watch Hasan streams or anything, just sometimes catch the clips on yt afterwards, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him “glaze” Hamas.

Unless you’re saying that Palestinian = Hamas. Is that what you are saying?

(because Hasan is middle eastern and pro-palestine)

Must be his pro-Houthi stances. That also covers ‘called him a “terrorist supporter”’, since plenty of people see the Houthi as terrorists, with them overthrowing the government, even though they do claim to want a democracy (just not one governed by a corrupt president).

Elon streamed Path of Exiles a Diablo-like online MMORPG pretending he plays often.

Everyone watching knew he didn’t know a thing about the game at all showing he never played it and likely bought or paid someone to level the account for him.

Rich folk like Elon are envious of us regular/poor people. We dress better, are actually funny and do enjoyable shit. Whenever he tries to take part he comes out looking like a big fraud and a dumbass.
