And but for the flags and the Nazi slogans they still can’t tell the difference. To anyone but themselves Ukrainians and Russians look and sound identical, have almost identical culture and share the same religion. This is for all intents and purposes a civil war.

You could even argue that the original Nazis, while they didn’t neccesarily hate the Russians more than the Jews, were certainly planning a much bigger genocide of Slavic peoples. Those treacherous “Asiatics,” after all, were occupying land that Germany wanted for economic reasons.

I don’t really understand the methodology of people like this, surely he realizes that the west will not accept Ukrainians as white once this war is over, and they’ll literally be treated as evil “asiatic hordes” themselves. All his hateful rhetoric will do is make things harder for Ukrainians, including himself. Hell, we see this already with violence in the west against Ukrainians and other Eastern Europeans because the oh so enlightened and civilised white folk mistook them for Russians.
I don’t think he will, tbh. I’ve met some folks like that IRL. They’re either delusional and think themselves “one of the good ones”, have an inferiority complex (“oh why couldn’t I have been born GLORIOUS NORDIC”), or are actually ruthless, unscrupulous scumbags who would run at the first whiff of danger and then live cushily somewhere quiet, while spreading their filth.
